Friends of Legacy
We are proud to support Legacy in their mission to help the partners and children of those who gave their lives or their health for our country.
The Manser family have a long history of service dating back to WW2 when brothers Don, Leo and Frank Manser served in Australia and abroad including the campaigns in North Africa and Borneo. Their nephew Phil Manser, co-founder of Manser Wines, continues this tradition of service in the Australian Army as does his nephew too.
Against this backdrop, we are proud to offer our work-horse wine, Dad’s Cut Shiraz, to help raise funds for the important work that Legacy does honouring the evergreen promise to “look after the missus and the kids”.
The Dad’s Cut Shiraz, sourced from the family vineyard in the Adelaide Hills, is an award-winning wine oozing class, with richness and a complexity not common in the ‘Hills. Normally available at $45, we are offering it for friends of Legacy at:

Variety: Shiraz
Region: Southern Adelaide Hills
Winemaking: Grapes were crushed and de-stemmed, fermented on skins for 9 days and pumped over twice a day for maximum extraction of colour and flavour. Eighteen months in 8 year old American Oak allowed for a pure expression of the fruit and its provenance.
Tasting notes: The ‘ol boy has done it again. Despite a difficult start to the season, Dad made some very astute calls in the vineyard during spring which meant we were able to take advantage of perfect conditions during the summer and autumn. This meant our fruit arrived at our winemaker’s with full flavour development and balance of acid and tannins. Our trademark blueberry, spice and eucalyptus are on show. This wine will see improvement up to and beyond 10 years in the cellar.
Money raised from the sale of this wine will be sent directly to Legacy to support the important work they do for for the families of our returned servicemen and women.
