2023 100 Year Old Vines

$65.00

Variety: Grenache

Region: McLaren Vale

WINEMAKING: Handpicked grenache from vines over a century old was soft pressed and destemmed in mid-March 2023, fermented on skins for 7 days and pumped over twice a day. The finished wine was transferred to 7-8 year old American oak barrels purely with the intention of settling the wine rather than adding oak flavour.

TASTING NOTES: The nose is abundant with red and blue fruits also seen on the palate, which is juicy, full bodied and underpinned by fine tannins. Further investigation reveals more layers of flavour and complexity after the initial tranche of bright fruits. A superb example of this most versatile of varietals and testament to McLaren Vale’s Grenache dominance.
